GotubunnoHanayome(The Quintessential Quintuplets) ~ Review

Before starting the review, I guess a synopsis of the story is necessary. So, minor spoilers ahead:-

Our Main character Uesugi Fuutarou is a brilliant high school student but his family is in huge debt. Now luckily for him a rich family has moved into the town and he got the part-time job offer from that rich man to teach his five identical daughters who are very (i mean very very) bad at academics. Unfortunately Uesugi’s first encounter with the girls didn’t go well and the girls doesn’t trust him either.

Though Gotubun no Hanayome is a wholesome Harem and has its fare share of comedy and romance like any other harem anime . The quintuplet gimmick makes it unique and different. However the quintuplet sisters are only similar in their physical appearance or looks but their personalities are totally different from one another. The sisters doesn’t accept uesugi as their tutor at first but he didn’t give up. He tries his best to make bond with five of them. That is what makes the story enjoyable. Also the MC is not an absolute asshole. As the story progesses the identical sisters started developing feelings for their teacher. But only one can win as the starting of the series suggest where uesugi marries one of the five girls. But who wins is still a mystery. I hope it’s the best girl Miku.

This series contains 12 episodes and aired during Winter 2019(january 2019 -march 2019). The story is based of the manga of the same name by Negi Haruba. The voice of the quintuplets were given by different voice actresses. This series has some bright and pretty colours which makes it eye soothing. The opening and ending scene is nice.

Overall I really enjoyed the show. Tezuka production did a good job. I am hyped for season 2.😊

SAO of Rehabilitation

So I recently finished watching SAO rehabilitation. Oops! Sorry I meant Alicization : war of underworld part 1.

Now to be honest I can’t really bring myself to hate SAO or call it a trash because this was the anime that got me into the anime in the first place. SAO was my 2nd anime that I watched and back in those days I was absolutely fascinated by it. My god I wanted to be inside a vrmmorpg game and the opening song ‘Crossing field’ is still in my playlist. As I started exploring more I realized that there are far more better animes but SAO will always be in my heart .

Enough of all that now I’ll come to the point where I tell you about what I liked and disliked regarding war of underworld. The part:1 starts with kirito’s dual wheeling mode after he got fried and Alice taking care of him. Okay I know I shouldn’t bully a wheelchair man but this was actually good as we got to see more of the other characters. Especially Alice, damn she shone like a star but not after my best girl Asuna came on. She appeared in the 9th episode as Stacia and her entry was enough to give any SAO lover goosebumps. Apart from all that we have a Dark Vecta as villian. And I don’t understand what it is with SAO and a psychopath villian who can also be a potential rapist depending on which season it is.

But the best thing is that we get to see a war mode of SAO or fighting in such a large scale. Even some the dark characters were highlighted. For me the battle between the Integrity knight sheyta and the pugilist leader Iskahn was the finest. Also the ending with sinon’s entry is making me more excited for part:2 uggghhh!!!!

But there is something really pisses me off is the fact that every girl is joining the kirito ‘cult’. And this whole Alice vs Asuna thing needs to stop cause it is so obvious that Asuna is the one and only…

Well to sum it all up I really really liked the part:1 and can’t wait for part 2 which is due in April 2020.

One last thing that I feel that I need to share is the fact that it really doesn’t matter what other people say or think about a show. As long as I’m enjoying it nothing else matters. And everybody has their own taste ,their own choice and should have the freedom to decide whether they like a show or not. That is all.

Thank you for reading it.

BEASTARS ~ Review

Everything is furry here

Now,most of you already know about this anime as the manga version of it is so acknowledged and well received by the audience. The manga series is beautiful and extremely unique in its story telling, character development, background, character interrelationships in the world that the writer( Paru Itagaki) created. But the anime adaptation for this is also incredible. It did not disappoint us at all as Studio Orange really stepped up their game with this.

The story sets around a modern and civilized fictional world where anthropomorphic animals rule the land . However there is a clear divide between carnivorous and herbivorous. Our protagonist Legoshi,a grey wolf who attends Cherryton Academy spending his uneventful life in his school drama club accompanied by his numerous carnivorous friends. He attends the school drama club as a stage hand and leads a pretty normal day to day life co-existing with the many herbivorous animal classmates. In the society that legoshi and his friends live in the carnivores has a herbivorous diet to suppress their natural instinct to eat meat and to ensure the safety of a herbivore prey. It is also done to maintain order within the now civilized and tightly constructed society of animals.

However one day legoshi’s classmate Tem, an alpaca gets killed and eaten by an anonymous carnivore in the middle of the night in the school’s drama club. An uneasy tension starts to rise after this incident between the carnivore and herbivore divide. Meanwhile legoshi meets Haru, a tiny dwarf rabbit and falls in love . However as legoshi learns to move on from his friends death and deal with his inevitable and fruitless crush between carnivores and herbivores he slowly starts to observe the secret strings that tug on the seemingly balanced society.

The anime contains 12 episodes and aired during the Fall 2019. Each episode run for 22 min. It falls under the genre of slice of life, psychological drama with some shounen elements in it. It has 12 different songs for 12 different episode ending. I mean studio orange is flexing really hard on us.

It is my favourite anime of 2019.If you like your cat girls, dog girls or other animal girls then this anime will give you a whole another experience as it extensively covers the daily life and society of fully anthropomorphized animals. I loved it because it is so raw and distinctive. I also loved every single character and the animation too. The characters go through relatable mental hurdles, psychological difficulties which makes these animals seem way more human than they are. It really reflects upon what humanity experience in their everyday society life.
